Xaar are trusted in industrial markets around the globe. They develop world leading ink-jet technologies and manufacture industrial digital inkjet print heads.
Xaar needed a Business Development Manager to drive the growth of Xaar’s business by managing current and new opportunities in the graphics & industrial sectors and to manage business and relationships with Xaar’s partners across a range of industry sectors. The person they were looking for needed to be results orientated and a strong communicator in order to build good relationships in the UK and abroad. They also needed to be willing to travel.
Xaar worked exclusively with Newman Stewart on a retained basis to fill the position by our Executive Search Division. Our consultants went to market and actively head-hunted a long list of candidates and after interviewing them all submitted a short list of 4 though to first interview at Xaar. Of the 4 candidates they interviewed Xaar were very impressed with 3 of them however the candidate they decided upon was an excellent fit for both the role and company.
Abel Veredas was the ideal candidate for the position as he came from a similar role dealing with some of the same clients. His experience lent him to be an excellent candidate to be used in an international context to develop multi-tiered relationships as the brief stipulated.
