TURKEY AND SYRIA EARTHQUAKES
Doing our bit today
We were horrified to hear of the destruction caused by the Turkey and Syria earthquakes at the start of the 2023. When we were approached by Danieli UK, we didn’t hesitate in pledging £2,000 to a charity football event that they were hosting. All proceeds went towards the Disasters Emergency Committee and the British Red Cross.

From local causes to
global crises
In 2022, Newman Stewart donated £2,000 to the Ukraine Crisis Appeal via British Red Cross, and a further £1,000 to the Pakistan Floods Appeal, via the Disasters Emergency Committee. Closer to home, we donated £2,000 to the Wetherby & District Foodbank, helping families in need in our local community.
CHILDREN’S HEART SURGERY FUND
Close to our hearts
In 2018 we decided to support the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund. A baby is born with a serious heart condition every two hours in the UK. The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund supports children and adults born with congenital heart disease across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.
MARY’S MEALS
Providing a brighter future for 707 African pupils
Through our ongoing support of the charity Mary’s Meals, we strive to enrich the lives of youngsters in deprived areas of Africa, by providing them with the food and education they need to fulfil their potential. We are proud to sponsor Mzuzu Primary School, in Mzuzu, Northern Malawi.
