As preparations for the PPMA Show 2018 hot up, we thought we’d take the opportunity to celebrate the work we do with many PPMA members and other businesses in the process and packaging machinery and materials handling space, and share some of the reasons why we’re looking forward to attending this year.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the PPMA Show will return to the NEC Birmingham from 25-27 September 2018 to showcase the latest innovations in smart manufacturing, processing technology and packaging machinery. The purpose of the show is to help businesses increase production line efficiencies and enhance business performance and profitability, something which we are equally passionate about. Coming at a time of strength for the UK manufacturing industry - The volume of output in the sector jumped to the strongest this year in the three months through June, according to a recent Confederation of British Industry report - the sector is looking particularly positive.
This positivity is something shared by many of the clients we work with in the sector, some of whom are PPMA members, who are currently expanding their senior teams and looking at how they can position themselves for future growth. We’re really excited to see the addition of the Enterprise Zone this year, which will include a series of educational features including live workshops, presentations, interactive discussions, question and answer sessions and panel debate covering key topical issues and industry trends. Lord Mark Price, Minister of State for Trade and Investment, will be delivering this year’s keynote and will bring some great insights from his years as Managing Director of Waitrose and Deputy Chairman of The John Lewis Partnership.
