The Role

Our client are looking for a sales focused and customer driven individual whose job it will job to develop and identify opportunities for sales of the component products.

As Sales Manager you will negotiate both the technical and commercial details of the proposals and close the sale on all enquiries. You will have the strategy to develop a strong prospect pipeline of interested customers and potential orders in line with target. Striving to maintain a high level of the company’s products and solutions and those of competitors.

To be successful in this role you will require previous experience in the sales of component parts such as valves, or other pre-engineered products/machines/components. You should have an analytical approach to developing solutions for customers. To be successful in this role you should have previous experience in a technical process role. It would be advantageous to have a degree level Engineering based qualification. As European Technical Sales Manager you will report directly to the Head of Sales. You will be responsible for generating significant new business and further expanding existing accounts within the pharmaceutical and fine chemicals manufacturing sector. You will attend & present at external customer meetings & internal meetings. As well as taking a proactive role in increasing market share, identifying & developing sales opportunities.

To be successful in this role you should have engineering or manufacturing qualification/experience so that you can read engineering drawings. You should be able to identify business opportunities, build key customer relationships, negotiate & close opportunities.

The role is a mix of new business and existing account management, new business will come from your own lead generation. You will work with internal teams to maximise sales volumes, pricing and product mix, while optimising payment terms and all other terms and conditions.
