Our client is a Manufacturer of Power Generation and Materials Handling Products with offices throughout the world. They are well known for their innovative solutions and high quality of the products. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Area Sales Manager to join their successful team, covering the UK.
They are looking for someone who is hungry for a challenge and has a proven track record of winning new business whilst also growing existing accounts. You will be expected to hit the ground running in selling the extensive range of company branded Power and Material Handling equipment, predominantly to Hire companies and liaising with Contractors. The first task will be managing the existing turnover on the patch, then once this has been established you will be expected to source new accounts.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience operating in a technical environment and will have sold products to a variety of industries. Interesting industries to the company include Power Plants, Construction, Oil & Gas and water treatment. You should be capable of working on your own initiative as well as part of a small team. You must have strong negotiation skils, be confident, self-motivated, have the ability to listen and sell consultatively, have high energy levels and operate with the highest levels of integrity.
