This department specialises in the development and sale of innovative safety electronic sensors and systems for industrial applications in explosive risk environments.

The Role

As Technical Sales Engineer your overall objective is to generate significant new business across the electronic monitoring equipment sector. You will drive and deliver continuous technical sales support whilst monitoring and reporting on industry activity. You will also deliver technical process evaluations and attend industry functions, providing feedback and information on market trends.

To be successful in this role you should have an Electronics or Electrical Engineering or related degree or qualifications (or equaivalent by experience), a proven track record of new business development and a strong background of technical sales in a similar field. If you are a driven, ambitious and hard working individual, already operating in a comparable role, then this is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you.

As a result of continued expansion they are seeking Business Development Managers to join the business, to drive growth primarily across the UK & Northern Europe, but also to support global expansion.

As Business Development Manager your focus will be on developing existing customers as well as engaging new business and opening new accounts. You will formulate and execute an annual sales plan and you will set up commercial partnerships that will accelerate growth.

The successful candidate will be expected to build personal in-depth product and application knowledge and will continuously monitor the target market, evolution of customer priorities and competitor activities.

To be successful in this role it would be advantageous to have a university degree in engineering, commercial engineering, business management - or equivalent qualification by experience and a minimum of five years business development / marketing & sales experience in a B2B context. Ideally you are already working within deep water mooring projects, rope manufacture and/or the heavy crane sector (or in related activities). You should be a highly collaborative, enthusiastic person with a proven track record of working in a global matrix organisation.

The Role

As Business Development Manager you will support development and implementation of German sales plan and strategy, whilst identifying new areas of growth in Germany. You will develop relationships with customers and industry leaders, as well as monitoring customer, market and competitor activity. The successful Business Development Manager will work closely with internal technical teams and influence key technical decision makers.

To be successful in this role you will require extensive direct technical sales/technical solution sales experience in Telco or related industry. Our client is an exceptional global business, operating across 30 countries; they design, engineer, manufacture and assemble complex process engineering products and turn-key systems. Their core competencies are in bulk solids handling; weighing, feeding, screening and automation solutions for a wide range of industries, however they are experts within the food sector.

As Service Engineer you will be expected to deliver outstanding technical service to customers with a national remit. You will act as site supervisor as and when required and be fully conversant with regulations and responsibilities under current Health Safety legislation. You will be responsible for carrying out service & maintenance work and complete detailed reports on findings. As well as carrying out the fitting of spares and / or service inspection visits in accordance with the work procedures.
