The Role

We are searching for an experienced compliance and assurance professional who can demonstrate a good knowledge of ISO 17021 and ISO 17065, who may have worked with UKAS and is keen to develop their career within an in-house compliance role.

You will, with training and induction, take full responsibility for the ongoing development, maintenance and improvement of in-house quality systems. Working with Operations, Planning, Technical Leaders and the field based Audit team you will ensure the organisation complies with all necessary standards & regulations.

You will be able to demonstrate as much of the following as possible:

  • Ideally degree educated within an Environmental, Sustainability or Engineering subject
  • Experience of ISO 17021 / ISO 17065
  • Relevant industrial / certification experience in a similar role
  • An understanding or experience of working with UKAS
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport and develop working relationships
  • Ability and enthusiasm to take responsibility for company quality systems and the affect these will have both internally & externally to the organisation.

Office based, the role will involve occasional travel, no more and probably less than once a quarter.

This is an excellent opportunity for a certification professional to utilise their management systems and audit experience in a new direction in a challenging and rewarding role. The client can offer a salary of up to £45,000 plus benefits, negotiable on experience.

The Role

To maintain up to date information in regard to the company product certification scheme.

  • Review test data with regard to corrective actions and re-tests.
  • Review audit reports.
  • Be a point of enquiry for technical customer queries.
  • Maintain product certification requirements.
  • Establish test schedules.

Skills and Experience

Ideally you will have experience working within a certification or product testing environment / organisation with a good knowledge of product certification.

Any experience of the building or construction sector will be beneficial. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication, IT and administrative skills.

The Role

We are searching for an experienced food technician who can demonstrate a strong knowledge of quality and assessment within the Food &/or Veterinary industry.

You will be able to demonstrate relevant laboratory experience with a broad knowledge of analytical techniques and a good understanding of modern quality management systems in laboratories, preferably using ISO/IEC 17025

Based from home you will visit clients to conduct assessments and complete all follow up actions including reporting and client management. The assessment will often require utilising colleagues' expertise, necessitating the management of a small team on an ongoing adhoc basis, as well as managing budgets and administration.

The key requirement is a strong food and/or veterinary laboratory background, excellent communication skills, drive and enthusiasm, a passion for the role and the ability to develop knowledge, expertise and credibility across different schemes.

The role will involve extensive travel across the UK and regular overnight stays, it is therefore essential you have flexibility in your lifestyle to allow regular travel. As your remit covers the whole of the UK, you will ideally be based 'centrally' with good access to the motorway network.
