The Role

We are searching for a Project Manager to support the team in the delivery of strategic company wide projects. You will take responsibility for the full life cycle of a number of assigned business change and business improvement projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Project planning and project objectives

* Project resource identification

* Drive projects through the business by utilising the resources available to you

* Take major decisions in the execution of project strategy

* Ensure all projects progress in a structured manner

* Take ultimate responsibility for project risk and project quality

You will be able to demonstrate similar previous experience working as a Project Manager within a certification and assessment environment. You will be a business change orientated Project Manager. You will be an excellent communicator with the skills to drive through and deliver projects utilising internal resources. With instant credibility and resilience you will have a demonstrable track record and the ability to achieve results.

Any experience of Agile or Prince will be beneficial, however the successful candidate will be supported to study and gain the appropriate qualifications.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced certification assessment manager to join a high profile organisation to help deliver new business initiatives. In return you will receive a salary of £45,000 - 55,000 plus benefits.

The role is either based at their London office or can be home based with regular weekly visits to London.

With a strong client base across the country they are interested to speak with candidates based in the South East, Midlands or North of England.

The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a candidate who is Lead Audit and HACCP level 3 qualified. You will be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of food safety, food defence, hygiene and quality assurance from roles as an Auditor or Technical / QA Manager within food manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have worked across a number of different food categories and be able to demonstrate technical competence to an in-depth level.

Responsibilities

  • To plan & conduct professional management system audits to enable delivery of assessment & certification services to meet customer requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Field based role, involving extensive travel regionally which may necessitate occasional overnight stays.
  • Deliver associated services within the region.

Skills and Experience

  • Able to demonstrate existing auditing experience (internal, second or third party.
  • Worked within a number of different food groups and environments.
  • Ideally Lead Audit qualified.
  • May have worked as a Senior QA or Technical Manager.
  • Will possess an in-depth knowledge of food manufacture, S&D, HACCP and certification requirements.
  • Experience of BRC standards are desirable but not mandatory.

Our Client

The company deliver third and second party audits alongside food safety services to manufacturers, their supply chain and retailers across the UK.

The Role

As part of succession planning we are recruiting an experienced food audit professional to take a leading technical role managing quality systems as well as a team of remote food auditors. It could suit candidates already operating in a similar role or someone who can demonstrate a strong technical knowledge as well as some supervisory / leadership skills who is looking to take the next step in their management career.

A rounded role leading a team of audit professionals, managing client relationships for commercial and technical queries, liaising with UKAS, BRC and other relevant schemes as appropriate.

The successful candidate will demonstrate as much of the following as possible:

  • Lead Audit qualified in food - BRC, ISO22000, FSSC22000,
  • HACCP Level 3 or above
  • Witness Auditor
  • BRC ATP
  • BRC Storage & Distribution / BRC Agents & Brokers

In addition to this the following soft skills are highly desirable:

  • Excellent communicator
  • People person - manage and mentor
  • A finisher / completer
  • Always looking for continuous improvement
  • Decision maker & problem solver

This is a high profile role within a successful supportive organisation. A fantastic opportunity to develop or continue your career within a leadership role, offering technical leadership internally and externally to colleagues and clients. Working with a strong leadership team you will be ambitious and keen to help tweak and improve a successful service provider.

The role is home based with travel to head office weekly or fortnightly dependent on your location and business requirements. You will manage your own travel and diary, however with visits to HQ, to meet field based auditors and visit clients you will be on the road 2-3 days per week.
