The Role

Our client are looking for a sales focused and customer driven individual whose job it will be to develop and identify opportunities for sales of the group aftermarket and equipment ranges.

As Sales Manager you will negotiate both the technical and commercial details of the proposals and close the sale on all enquiries. You will have the strategy to develop a strong prospect pipeline of interested customers and potential orders in line with target. You will be responsible for the identification of business opportunities and to drive the process of turning these opportunities into profitable activities.

To be successful in this role you will require previous experience in the sales of component parts such as valves, or other pre-engineered products/machines/components. You should have an analytical approach to developing solutions for customers. Our client are a leading designer and manufacturer of industrial powder handling equipment. Owing to significant success and growth, they are now seeking an exceptional Project Sales Manager to join their organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast paced and rewarding organisation who will provide the support and backing you need to enhance your career.

The Role

As Project Sales Manager you will adopt a consultative approach to sales. You will require an in-depth technical knowledge of the principals involved in the drying, milling and pulverising of fine powders. Ideally, you will have a detailed understanding of the thermodynamics associated with such processes.

The role will require you to visit and consult with current and prospective customers to advise on the most appropriate solution for their needs. You will liaise closely with multiple departments in the business and will have an input during all stages of the project lifecycle.

To be successful in this role you will require a minimum of 3 years' experience selling process technology into the food/pharma/recycling/chemicals industry. It would be advantageous to have a related degree or above (or equivalent by experience), in an engineering or scientific discipline. The successful individual should be a positive and effective team player with strong commercial awareness.
