An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Buhler, a leading global provider of engineering food processing equipment for the cereal, grain millings and related powdered processing industries. Reporting to the Area Manager for Milling Solutions, the Project Sales Engineer is responsible for developing engineered process plant solutions; incorporating equipment, systems and site installation services. You will be required to travel across the UK & Ireland as is required. The successful candidate will possess the skills and competences to take an initial enquiry through to project handover.

The ideal candidate will currently be operating in a similar role and environment, or perhaps you are a project or process engineer who is looking to move into a sales engineering role. We are especially interested to hear from candidates with a background in industrial flour milling or food factory project design. You must be able to demonstrate that you are a career achiever at the highest level, with appropriate professional mechanical engineering credentials and corresponding career history. Preferably you will possess AutoCAD experience, although this is not a requirement for the position, plus possibly additional training in sales, though most importantly you have a desire to develop or further your career in project solution engineering.

The Role

As Internal Technical product specialist you will have the responsibility for technical support to the Global customer base through direct & indirect sales channels, working with the technical product & sales managers. Your task would be to support the growth of sales year on year and to also provide internal and external technical support for the aftercare department.

To be successful in this role you should have previous experience in a technical process role. It would be advantageous to have a degree level Engineering based qualification. A strong background in providing technical process support is essential to this role. The Role

As UK Technical Sales Engineer the overall objective is to generate significant new business and further expand existing accounts within the pharmaceutical and fine chemical manufacturing sector. The role is a mix of new business and existing account management, new business will come from your own lead generation. You will work with internal teams to maximise sales volumes, pricing and product mix, while optimising payment terms and all other terms and conditions.

To be successful in this role you should have an engineering or manufacturing qualification/experience. A strong background in providing technical support is essential to this role.
