Established over 25 years ago with a specific expertise in the metal fabrication of tubular and sheet metal sub-assemblies for a major manufacturer in a particularly niche market with customers both in the UK and abroad. They have experienced rapid growth over the last few years and are now looking to recruit an Operations Manager to assist the Production Director with the running of the site.

The Role
You will be responsible for the day to day operating of the manufacturing division, to include work allocation, planned and contract maintenance. You will manage a team including admin, service and engineering staff. You will be responsible for labour efficiency, operational efficiency and maximising the profit of the jobs.
It is essential you have a proven track record of working to strict time scales in a professional manor. The successful candidate will have experience within metal fabrication and come from a related background. The ability to hold technical conversations and possessing commercial awareness are extremely important also.

The Role

As Production Manager you will be a member of the Manufacturing Leadership Team. You will be responsible for driving and achieving both internal and external manufacturing delivery performance in terms of plan adherence

To be successful in this role you will require proven relevant experience of successfully managing at line/middle management level in both an automated and labour-intensive environment. You should be an outstanding leader of people and be able to demonstrate how you would manage people performance. You will have a proven track record of delivering results and performance through people and process, with evidence to show what you have achieved/ delivered/ driven in past roles.

The Role
