Our client are a market leading Plant Hire company. Established over 50 years ago today the business has a fleet size of over 500 accommodation units providing bespoke manufactured solutions to many of the major players in the construction industry. Due to their continued success, they are looking for a service engineer to join their busy team.

The Role

The role of Service Engineer involves site visits in order to undertake repairs, maintenance and servicing of units whilst on client sites. This involves travelling to client sites, dealing with Site Managers and client representatives when conducting the work required, the traveling within this role will require regular nights out. The Service Engineer role requires some key skills so experience of working on small generators in particular is needed along with a Gas Safe certification (training can be arranged for this).

The successful candidate will need a good knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, floor laying, painting and other general skills to be able to undertake a full repair or conversion on a unit as directed. At times you will be required to attend client sites to undertake on site works so a valid driving licence for cars and light vans is required. The production engineer will be qualified to either CCLP1 (LPG Core Safety) or CCN1 (Domestic Gas Core Safety).

Our Client

Our client operates across the UK providing ISO consultancy and audit support to a large variety of SMEs. Concentrating on ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001, they are also increasingly busy implementing and auditing against ISO27001 as well as Business Continuity and Energy Management.
With a full order book and plans to grow during the next twelve months they are now looking to recruit a new Consultant to meet their client demands within a 60 mile radius of the M25 / M23. It is highly desirable the successful candidate will live in the area of Croydon - Tonbridge Wells - Crawley.

The Role

This is a hybrid role covering both systems implementation and consultancy on one hand and systems audit on the other. Within your geographical region you will visit clients on a daily basis to either consult and help implement a standard or to conduct an audit.
My client is keen to speak to 'rounded' business professionals who can offer excellent experience across different responsibilities within a variety of industry sectors. You may have run your own business and implemented a business system into your own company. You may have worked as a QA Manager across a number of industries or alternatively within a business or continuous improvement role. Any experience of IT / Information Security will be highly advantageous.
The key requirement alongside your business experience is your communication skills and the willingness to work in the field, at a different client site every day. A strong communicator, you will be prepared to travel on a regular basis within Northamptonshire and occasionally further afield if required.


* To plan & conduct professional management system audits
* Consultancy for client management systems in accordance with the requirements of ISO Standards and with documented processes and procedures.
* Complete all reporting and follow up as necessary

* Rounded business experience at a senior level within a variety of sectors
* An understanding of the benefits of ISO certification
* Excellent communication skills
* A desire to develop a career within systems consultancy and auditing
● A willingness to travel as part of the role
