Are you a Supply Chain Operations & Logistics leader seeking a challenging and exciting role, in a dynamic and successful global business?

They design, engineer and manufacture innovative technology products for industrial use and are recognised for leading their market in product design, quality, reliability and service.

As part of the senior leadership of the customer operations team, you will be responsible for leading the development of the group logistics strategy across a global manufacturing network. Previous experience of leading outsourced logistics providers and inventory deployment will be essential to enable the development and implementation of a strategy to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics services, whilst supporting the development of customer acquisition, adoption and retention.

A dynamic, results focussed and proactive business leader, accomplished in change and stakeholder management and a positive team player, you can point to a minimum of 10 years' in a senior level supply chain / logistics management leadership role. It is likely you are working in a multi-national engineering and technology company fulfilling a similar role and are qualified to Masters/MBA level or equivalent by experience

The Role

As Internal Technical product specialist you will have the responsibility for technical support to the Global customer base through direct & indirect sales channels, working with the technical product & sales managers. Your task would be to support the growth of sales year on year and to also provide internal and external technical support for the aftercare department.

To be successful in this role you should have previous experience in a technical process role. It would be advantageous to have a degree level Engineering based qualification. A strong background in providing technical process support is essential to this role. As UK Technical Sales Engineer the overall objective is to generate significant new business and further expand existing accounts within the pharmaceutical and fine chemical manufacturing sector. The role is a mix of new business and existing account management, new business will come from your own lead generation. You will work with internal teams to maximise sales volumes, pricing and product mix, while optimising payment terms and all other terms and conditions.

To be successful in this role you should have an engineering or manufacturing qualification/experience. A strong background in providing technical support is essential to this role.
