  • basic starting salary of £18 - £23k
  • first year earnings potential up to £35k including bonus, second year up to £50k

We are looking to enhance our team further by recruiting a number of determined, motivated and ambitious individuals who are eager to develop a successful career. You may have experience in Customer Service or Telesales or Retail Sales and be looking for a new challenging and rewarding career, but experience is not essential.

Supported by a structured training programme, your line manager and the broader team, key aspects to the role will evolve into:

Candidate Management

  • Proactively identify candidates using our research tools
  • Pre-screen and interview candidates to understand suitability for clients' vacancies
  • Manage candidates expectations are managed; build and manage talent pools
  • Work towards tight deadlines and targets
  • Deliver and negotiate offers

Client Development and Management

  • Continuously develop and manage relationships with new and existing clients
  • Identify leads and new business opportunities
  • Attend client meetings; take full job and person briefings from clients
  • Provide timely solutions surprising and delighting clients with your urgency and delivery
  • Manage expectations


You need to be professional, articulate and confident, though most critically you will need to demonstrate that you have the tenacity and drive to ensure you are successful. In return you will have the opportunity to progress your career and earnings in a business that is rapidly set for expansion.

The Role

As Commercial Manager you will be responsible for taking corrective actions where appropriate to recover business loss. You will plan appropriate customer visits, keep up to date with market prices and follow up on all quotations. You will regularly make cold calls to meet agreed targets and negotiate with customers to secure an appropriate selling price. You will be expected to report on progress of the development of target accounts and to investigate and resolve any customer complaints. You will also be asked to put together a strategy to maximise the company opportunities using social media platforms.

To be successful in this role you should be a highly motivated individual with previous sales experience. You will have excellent communication, influencing and planning skills, as well as having experience and knowledge of the Transport industry. As Senior European Traffic Supervisor you will work closely with the European traffic manager to ensure the smooth running of the department.
