Role: Laboratory Manager
Salary: Up to £60k (Dependent on Experience)
A European leader in the provision of niche wellbeing testing services to consumers and businesses; our client based in York are looking to appoint an industry leading Laboratory Manager to join their rapidly growing business.
With fresh funding and investment in the last 12 months the business are going through a period of strong growth and are soon to be relocating to brand new facilities offering state of the art Laboratory settings.
As Laboratory Manager you will have excellent people management, coaching and training experience with a commercial and business focus. You will be required to help our client drive forward with their new product development programme. The company provide a comprehensive range of home to laboratory testing services to a diverse market of consumers focusing specifically on Food allergies and intolerances. To join the leading provider of food intolerance (food-specific IgG antibody) testing in York on a permanent basis. Laboratory management experience with core skills in the use/validation of immunoassays is paramount for this role.
Managing and developing a team of Laboratory Staff heading up all day to day routine laboratory operations; routine testing, manufacturing, QC and export. You will be responsible for all aspects of manufacturing ELISA plate and diagnostic test kit production whilst being responsible for technical new product development and introducing new testing services into the laboratory.
The successful Lab Manager will have the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
·A minimum BSc/MSc in a suitable bio-science subject, or equivalent
·Experience that includes Laboratory Management, preferably to UKAS/ISO17025 and/or ISO13485
·Experience that preferably includes new laboratory test/service development, implementation and validation
·The person must be highly organised, results orientated with a good attention to detail.
·Excellent people management skills
